Northeastern Line Constructors Chapter

The Northeastern Line Constructors Chapter is a member of the National Electrical Contractors Association. The Chapter was established in 1956 to unite power line contractors throughout the following states:

Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Delaware

The Chapter’s  primary objectives are to promote meetings of contractors who are engaged in outside electrical construction business in these states; provide them with an effective agency through which to express their collective voice and promote sound labor relations on the basis of labor and management cooperation in the public interest.

The work that outside electrical contractors do consists of all outside electric and communication construction, installation, maintenance, line clearance and demolition work for electrical and telephone utilities, REA Co-ops, railroads, municipally owned and distribution systems.

Our goals are to promote sound labor relations between management and the local unions, and give our members the best and most current information regarding their business and industry.

By improving industry standards, the Chapter aims to increase the public’s opinion and acceptance of electrical construction contractors. These standards include a cooperative spirit among our members, a respect for each other, our rights, and fairness of the competitive nature of our industry.
