Apprenticeship Training Program

The Northeast Line Chapter works closely with the National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee (NJATC) as well as Northeastern Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program (NEAT).

The NJATC developed the standardized education programs that are used by local joint apprenticeship training committees to train electrical workers in the most effective, efficient, and safe ways possible. The NJATC is successful in producing the best lineman and electrical workers in the country.

NEAT is the product of the strong labor-managment relationship between the IBEW and NECA in the Northeast Region of the United States.  NEAT has nine operating training centers throughout the Northeast, which include on-site classrooms and laboratories, as well as outdoor pole-climbing yards. At these facilities, apprentices receive the best electrical education to be successful in the field.
